I continue to say this but I just cant believe how big Gracy is getting and how fast time flies! I remember Brooklynn being her size like it was yesterday. Now I have a (almost) 4 year old and a 9 month old! Crazy! Anyways, this month Gracynn did some big things! She claps her hands and can wave bye! She is also saying "dada" "mama" and "hii"(not sure if its a squeal or not but it sounds like "hiii" to me so ill take it!) She started saying "dadadada" first. Ryan was thrilled! He had the biggest smile on his face and was so proud! She did it the first time while he was at work so luckily I captured it on camera! She is still scooting around the house on her belly and seems content with that. She has her own way of getting around!

Happy 4th of July!
This by far ranks top 3 of my favorite holidays. There is something about the 4th that gets me really excited every year! I love hanging the flag, decorating in red, white and blue, the BBQ's, picking out super cute dresses for my girls and of course the FIREWORKS! I'm like a little kid on the 4th of July! I cant wait to see the fireworks, I cant get there fast enough. I want the BEST spot that has the BEST view. And I'm always super sad when the show is over! We have friends who live in Kingswood Parc and If you live in Surprise you know that that's the neighborhood across from the stadium. We met them that evening and walked to the park and had a pretty great view. Our friends have two little girls(also close in age to Brooks) and the kids had a great time! We had a big blanket and snacks. A lot of fun! I'm sad its over. I hope everyone had as great of a day as we did!
our girls in their matching dresses :]
4th of July Cookies.
If you know me I sure love to decorate cookies! So anytime a holiday comes its the perfect excuse for Brooks and I to get frosting! We got red, white and blue frosting and different candy's to make some very festive 4th of July cookies! Brooklynn really loves doing this and its a fun thing for her and I to do together! I think she likes it for a different reason then I do though. I like it because its crafty and bonding time with my beautiful girl, she likes it because well, its sugar! After making our lovely cookies we shared some with our super nice neighbors. What a fun way to celebrate the 4th!
(I saw you sneak that bite!!) |
another project complete.
I had been wanting to do a photo collage on my wall for a long time now I just didn't have the right frames or the right pictures but finally I did it! Once I had all the pictures framed it took me forever to decide how to hang them on the wall. I initially wanted them hung in rows to create a giant square but I ended up with more of a diamond shape. I am very pleased with it though. And I'd like to send a special thanks to my friend Alicia Campbell who is responsible for taking most of these beautiful photos. Thanks Alicia!
Gracy is 8 months!
My littlest turkey(yes she is my turkey and Brooks is my ham) is 8 months! I seriously couldn't have a happier baby. She is so full of the BIGGEST smiles and now that she has her two little bottom teeth her smiles are even cuter! She is such a chunker, I love her little baby chubs they are just to cute. She is a great eater! She eats everything. Brooklynn was always very choosy with baby food and only liked certain kinds. Gracynn on the other hand is complete opposite. She is also now sitting up all by herself! This makes her feel extra big because now she can sit next to her sister and play. Oh how I love this little girl.
Father's Day 2012!
Well Father's Day was really relaxing this year! And Ryan definitely deserves rest. So rest is what he got! The guy works 2 jobs and still helps me with the kiddos, helps me clean, goes to the market with me and does it all with a smile. He is really a one of a kind man.(I got lucky) So when Father's Day came and I asked him what he wanted to do to celebrate I wasn't surprise when his response was "relax". I did push for us to go to breakfast as a family though! And I also made him choose his favorite dinner for me to cook. Figures he chose steaks(such a guy!) So I set off to the store for steaks. I do not know how to operate a grill nor would I try so he cooked the steaks while I made the rest. Brooklynn chose her daddy a very special card and also drew him a picture. She was so excited to give it to him! And nothing was cuter then hearing her say "Happy Fadder's Day Daddy". It melts my heart and his too! So to sum up this Father's Day it was good food and relaxation. And I think Ryan had a pretty fantastic Day with his girls :]
