THE VERY FIRST TOMATO GROWING IN OUR GARDEN!

Yes I am thrilled. I never thought I'd be so excited over a tomato but I am!

I was busy gazing at my tomato plant when Brooklynn poked me on the leg and handed me a flower saying "here mom, it smells good!" I love that she picked a very nice smelling flower and thought to give it to me, so so so cute! I immediately went and got a little cup of water to put it in to show her how much I loved it.

Then before I knew it my little cup with one very nice smelling red flower turned into a little cup full of a bunch of flowers. I think she saw how much I loved the one and wanted to add to it. She said "look! a lot of pretty flowers....for you!" As much as I would like each one of these flowers to still be attached to the proper bush they belong on, I couldn't help but think this was so sweet.

My girls admire their aunt. They only have one REAL aunt and they just adore her. Brooklynn gets so excited when she finds out Aunt Tara is coming over or if we go to her house. And Gracynn already recognizes her and cracks the biggest smile. Brooklynn talks about her all the time. I'm so glad my girls will have a close relationship with her. Aunt Tara is like another mom to them, shes the mom that will let them have Cheetos's late at night or put puppets in the bath tub. And that is exactly what aunts are for. Someone who spoils them, loves them to pieces and lets them do fun silly things. I couldn't ask for my girls to have a better aunt to look up to. She is a great role model. In fact I look up to her myself. She is such a good person and so genuine. I feel so lucky that she is my best friend and it also makes me happy that we are setting an example to my daughters on how sisters should be. I hope Brooklynn and Gracynn are as close as me and Tara are. I hope they have the bond like her and I do. Thanks Tara for being such a wonderful aunt to my girls and such a wonderful sister to me. We love you!

building a fort.

Tristan(Ryan's 5 year old little brother) came over yesterday and spent most of the day with us. Brooklynn loves when he comes over. After all, he is her uncle. They play so well together. I thought it would be fun to build them a fort they could play house in. They were so so so so so excited as I was building it. They were jumping up and down and dancing, so cute. I felt it needed a flag, no fort is complete without a flag. All I could find was a cheer pom pom, it worked and they liked it. This fort was magical, it was a house, a troll bridge and at one point a pirate ship and the grass was the ocean...so clever. Because they were on a pirate ship sailing the ocean blue I got them each a little rubber fish to play with. At one point I heard Tristan's fish ask Brooklynn's fish "Do you want to get married so we can be friends forever?" That cracked me up. I love watching them play and even more listening to their little conversations. So innocent and sweet. It was a fun day.

My mom as everybody in the entire world knows is pretty much obsessed with Starbucks. My sister and I as well love it, but not like my mom. She goes everyday and even has a "usual". She bought this shirt for Gracynn and I think its so adorable. For those of you reading her shirt thinking that must be a joke, there is no way that's a real drink. I am here to tell you that it is. I worked at Starbucks for a few years and a 1/3 decaf, triple grande, sugar-free vanilla, 1% milk, no foam, extra hot, light whip latte with a light dusting of cinnamon is in fact a real drink. People come up with anything. Try making that while your the only person working and have a line out the door of very impatient people trying to get to work on time at 5:00am in the morning. Fun stuff!  All I have to say is I'm very happy being a stay at home mom!

My littlest girl is 4 months old. Four months goes by so fast. I feel like it was just yesterday Ryan and I were walking into the hospital after waiting 9 long months to finally meet our new little bundle of joy. She has definitely been a bundle of joy indeed. Gracynn is the happiest baby I have ever known. She didn't even cry when she was born. She is so content, so calm and just so blissful. All she does is smile. You don't even have to say anything, just looking at her makes her crack the biggest grin. She has brought us so much joy. She is one more person to love in our family and the more love the better. I feel so blessed and so lucky. Babies change so much in the first year and I cant wait to watch her grow and do new things. I love you Gracy. Your our little chub :)

Here are some recent pictures of Brooklynn. I think she is so incredibly beautiful. She is just so lovely. Her blue eyes and brownish blonde hair are so pretty. She looks so much like a little girl now. I'm so lucky to have this little girl and be her mommy. She inspires me to do great things and be the best I can be. She constantly makes me laugh and reminds me to enjoy life and appreciate even the little things. She is so amazed by animals or watching plants grow. She has such a creative imagination and asks tons of questions. I love how one moment shes playing with her dolls, trying on my heels/jewelry and the next moment shes playing baseball, gator golf, pretending to be a super hero and cheering on sports teams with her dad. Shes the all American girl. She just makes everyday fun and interesting and truly brightens my whole world. Thank you Brooklynn for choosing me to be your mommy. And thank you for being such a sweet little girl. Your so loved.
