Brooklynn & Gracynn Pictures!

I got the girls pictures taken together at Sears a while back. I give those photographers so much credit, they have so much patience. They wait while the kids act fussy, cry, don't sit still, don't look, need a break and what ever other shenanigans go on during the shoot. Gracynn kept pulling Brooks hair, Brooklynn was being her typical silly self. Gracynn then had a poopy diaper and needed changed. Then got hungry. It was a bit stressful to say the least. But somehow with all that craziness going on we were able to get some super cute shots!! I love my girls so much!!

(sorry for the water marks on the pics, these are just the proofs from the session)
And now the frames in my kitchen are updated! :]

Cake Pops!

Yum is the best way to describe this. I wanted to try making cake pops for SO long! Making them was weird, the directions were strange and I kept thinking to myself "these aren't going to be right" You have to bake the cake and crumble it into pieces and add frosting to make it moist. Then you dip the balls into the outer coating and let them set in the fridge. They turned out really tasty though! I will need to adjust a few things next time around but for my first try I was proud of myself!

Brooklynn eating the pop before it was even cooled! She couldn't resist!

Brooklynn's 1st Day of Pre-School!

I don't know who was more nervous...me or her. Possibly me. She was SO excited to start pre-school! That's all she talked about the week prior. We got a new backpack and special water bottle. She was thrilled! Then the morning came and she wasn't so excited anymore, I could tell she was nervous. I tried to stay positive and keep a big smile on my face and act super excited for her sake, even though my heart was racing on the inside and I was sad. I know that sounds dramatic but she had never done any type of school or class before without me. We did swim lessons but it was a "mommy and me" class. We do play-dates and other activities but again, I'm always there. When we arrived to school she began to cry and didn't want us to leave. It broke my heart into a million pieces. LUCKILY her teacher is super nice, super sweet, so so so wonderful and if it wasn't for her I would have been an even bigger wreck then I already was. She took Brooklynn, and Ryan and I left. The minute I got into the truck to head home I broke down and balled my eyes out. Leaving your child when their crying for you not to go is so hard. But I had too, I knew it would be good for her and that she would have fun. I cant say enough nice things about her teacher, she makes learning fun and does the cutest crafts with the kids! When we went back to pick her up she was all smiles and had a blast. She loves pre-school! I cant believe my Brooklynn goes to school. Right now she only goes 2 days a week for a few hours but it will definitely help prepare her for kindergarten. I better get hold of myself!!! I was crying over 2 day a week pre-school...can you imagine me when she begins kindergarten. Ah! yikes!

Gracynn is 10 months!

I will be planning a 1st birthday soon. Wait...what!?!? Yeah its hard to believe! Wasn't she just born yesterday? Gracynn is the silliest little girl. She wants to be everywhere Brooklynn is and LOVES her big sissy. She finally learned you can get around much faster if you crawl on all fours instead of scooting. Now she is really into everything! Her favorite is crawling up to my flower plant in the living room and pulling each pedal off the branches. Such a little stinker! Oh how I love her chubby squishy cheeks! I could kiss them all day...and I do! She can pull herself up onto furniture now but isn't quite walking along, any day now! She is so happy, so sweet and so kissable!! I just love this girl!

Playing with Papa :]

My dad comes over every Thursday to visit and play with the kids. Its a regular thing and we love when he comes! He is so cute, always brings a little something special for the girls and sometimes even some of his good home cooking for me! He is the best papa! One afternoon Brooklynn and Papa made this little set up of all Brooks little Disney figurines. They were so focused.

Mike the Knight.

There is this show on Nick Jr. called "Mike the Knight" and Brooklynn loves it. I was busy doing my regular mom chores.. cleaning, laundry, dishes, dinner, chasing after Gracy...repeat. When I noticed Brooklynn had gotten really into character. She was wearing a basket on her head as a helmet and had her pretend plastic sword in hand....I was able to capture this shot before she realized I was taking pictures of her. So funny.

projects. and more projects!

I was at it again! Yup, making more things. Crafts seem to be a regular thing lately. I have a rather large list of things I'd like to do...and Pinterest isn't helping my list get any smaller! This one was super easy. I had already had these Ikea frames for ever and kept changing my mind on what exactly I wanted to do with them. I have some favorite pictures of flowers and butterflies and wanted to hang them. I saved the images on my computer, photo edited them to give them a old photo/vintage look and printed them. Then framed the photos and used a little modge podge(LOVE) on the frames to give them a matted look. It was fun!

silly silly girls!

I try really hard to take lots of pictures of my girls but sometimes its almost impossible to capture a good picture. Someone is either blinking, moving or making a crazy face. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that the ones where their being super silly are "bad" pictures because there not! In fact those happen to be my favorite because there the ones that are the most real. I was taking pictures of these super silly girls the other day and here is an example of the silliness.

After all those I finally got these :]

I have a feeling they will LOVE looking at these pictures of themselves someday!

Gracynn is 9 months.

I continue to say this but I just cant believe how big Gracy is getting and how fast time flies! I remember Brooklynn being her size like it was yesterday. Now I have a (almost) 4 year old and a 9 month old! Crazy! Anyways, this month Gracynn did some big things! She claps her hands and can wave bye! She is also saying "dada" "mama" and "hii"(not sure if its a squeal or not but it sounds like "hiii" to me so ill take it!) She started saying "dadadada" first. Ryan was thrilled! He had the biggest smile on his face and was so proud! She did it the first time while he was at work so luckily I captured it on camera! She is still scooting around the house on her belly and seems content with that. She has her own way of getting around!
