Gracy is 7 months!

I cant believe it. This little pumpkin is 7 months old. She is growing so fast and has such a cute little personality. She is seriously the happiest girl. Full of smiles and laughs, all day. She is super chubby and I love it! I get to kiss her chubs all day long! She is fascinated by her feet and LOVES watching her big sister! She now rolls over, scoots around on her tummy and is trying very hard to sit up on her own. She does well for a while then gets excited and tips over. Here are some pictures of Gracy!

Memorial Day

We celebrated Memorial Day with some great friends of ours who are in town from Canada. They have the most beautiful backyard you have ever seen. We went over for dinner and visited. The kids spent almost the entire time in the pool and didn't want to get out! We had a really super fun time!

peas.

One of our bushes out back sprouts really tiny flowers and before they bloom the buds look like peas. Brooklynn thought they were real peas! I had to tell her they are not edible! She picks them off the bush and says she has "magic peas" She collects them, counts them, lines them up in rows, makes pea soup and last night she thought we should plant them in our garden. So we did. I am sure nothing will grow but she is positive a "BIG pea tree" will grow. (I'm going to have to pull some mommy magic and secretly plant something one night after she goes to bed)

This is my latest drawing. Just kidding...photo editor did it. Totally looks like someone drew them! I had this printed and it looks even cooler bigger and framed! Ryan took this picture on his iPhone and for the life of me I couldn't edit the red eye. So I had to do something funky with the picture. I love photo editing, you can do some really neat stuff.

beat the heat.

Its hot. Very hot. And it has only begun.(help me) Yes everyone, 3 digit weather is here. We are all prepared for summer with 3 different kinds of sprinklers and a blow up pool. We opted for the larger one this year. Last years was great for Brooklynn but wasn't big enough for Ry or I to climb in and cool off. Naturally, Brooklynn was beyond excited to get the pool home and blow it up. She couldn't get into her swim suit fast enough. Then Ryan got creative and put the slide from her jungle gym into the pool and rigged up the hose to make a "water slide" We spent all afternoon in this thing. She didn't want to get out but I insisted since it was dinner time. This is where you will find us all summer, and I see myself having a very nice tan :]

sweet summer time.

Summer is here and that means BBQ's with great friends. Although you can definitely BBQ any time of year here in Arizona. We had Ryan's cousin Chris, his wife Breanna and their two little girls over last night for a cook out. We even set off some fire works. I guess we are anxious for the 4th? Or maybe we just like watching the kids faces light up when they see sparklers. Anyway it was a great evening. And let me tell you, when these girls get together they have SO much fun.

wisdom teeth.

I got all four wisdom teeth removed on Monday. Its pretty safe to say that I have been a chipmunk since. That was not fun at all. Thank goodness its only a one time thing. When I got home on Monday after the extraction Brooklynn took one look at me and was very concerned. She wasn't worried about my giant puffy face or the gauze stuffed in my mouth, she was worried about the band aid on my arm(where the IV was) She didn't like that I had to get a shot. All day she checked on my band aid, rubbed my arm and told me Id be better. She climbed into bed with me and read me story books, sang me songs and watched movies with me. She was a really great little nurse. I also had a really great doctor at home taking care of me. Ryan made sure my head was propped, my meds were taken, my cheeks were iced and that I STAYED in bed. He also made and fed me jello the first day. Thank you also to Auntie Tara who brought me Dairy Queen and my mom who brought Brooklynn some play-doh to keep her busy and give her something fun to do. Now that it has been 4 days I'm still sore but I'm up and around now. Hopefully by this weekend ill be back to myself and able to eat something other than mush(I'm really sick of eating mush) Ill be treating myself to a BIG burrito from Chipotle!

My sweet Brooklynn, climbed into bed with me, curled up under my arm and fell asleep. She made me feel so much better :]

 

Mothers Day

Mothers Day was a delight. I slept in, which kicked off the day awesome. Then woke up to a great big hug from Brookylnn and with her cute little voice "Happy mothers day". I had a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers sitting on the counter for me in the kitchen. Not to mention Ryan woke up extra early and cleaned the whole house. It was spotless! I met my mom and sister for coffee in the afternoon. Nothing like Starbucks. Its one of my favorites. Then Ryan took me and the girls to dinner later in the evening, my choice of restaurant of course! I chose Chipotle. YUM! And Brooklynn totally eats the beans, rice, corn and guacamole. It was a really relaxing day.

 I'm very grateful for my mom who is always so loving and nurturing. Because of her, I know how to be a good mom. She has taught me how to love and be affectionate. So thank you mom for always being by my side, and for being so wonderful. I'm so happy that now I have two little girls of my own to shower with love. I'm so happy to be their mommy.

Gracynn has a new toy! She loves this jumperoo. It keeps her occupied for a pretty long time and she sure looks cute in it! When Gracynn is jumping and the music plays her little feet look like their dancing. So now every time I go to put Gracynn in the jumpy Brooklynn says "does Gracynn want to dance?"
